Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group returns today

NORFOLK - Thousands of local families will be reunited with loved ones they have not seen in seven months today. Four ships from the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group are returning to Naval Station Norfolk from deployment.
The Iwo Jima group was on a scheduled deployment to the Middle East and the Mediterranean in support of maritime security operations.
The USS Iwo Jima, the USS Vella Gulf, the USS Carter Hall, and the USS San Antonio all had various missions while they were out.
