Because We Are Bookworms

PaperBackSwap.com - Our online book club offers free books when you swap, trade, or exchange your used books with other book club members for free.

I thought I would share with you all an internet site that I have been using for over a year with great success.  It is called Paperback Book Swap.  It's an online club for book lovers.  Here is how it works.  You go through all of your books (they do NOT have to be paperback by the way) and list them on the PBS site by their ISBN number.  The PBS folks will get you an account started so that all of your books that you list will be seen by other members.  They will also give you a few credits for signing up (it's free to sign up).  Other members will be able to look at your books and request them.  If one of your books is requested, then you print out the address label that they provide and send the book to the requesting member.  When that member receives it, they mark it received, which gives you a credit to request a book.  All of your personal info is kept confidential.  So you start out with several credits but the more that you send the more you are able to request.  It's a great way to clear  off those shelves AND get ahold of some great books for just what it costs you to send one through the mail.  I usually pay about $2.00 to send a book.  If you set up an account at PBS you can tell them that snickerdoodledog sent you their way.  Happy reading!
