The newest member of the Brown family menagerie is Hobbes. In the picture below he is 5 weeks old. He is a Great Dane, so we expect him to probably outweigh us in a few months. Some friends have joked that he may even turn out to be the tallest member of the family as well.
Hobbes is primarily Caitlin's puppy. They bonded right away and now Hobbes thinks she is the mommy. What else would he think when she bottle fed him for a week while he was snuggled into his own personal puppy blankie in her arms.
She gets up in the night with him to take him potty and feed him and then, get this -she rocks him back to sleep!
Caitlin has decided that she probably won't be in too big of a rush for motherhood.
Thanks for the life lesson Hobbes, Good Boy!
I asked her what in the world she plans to do when he is twice her size and still wants to be rocked to sleep.
She'll figure it out I'm sure.
