Here is one of those mysteries of life to ponder. Why is it that no matter how neatly you put up last years strings of lights, you still have to untangle them the next year? You think about that and get back to me when you get it all figured out. Deal?
Gracie doing one of the things she does best. Putting things together. In this case she put together a whole herd of light up reindeer that is currently in the yard spreading Christmas cheer as I type.
Here we go again with the Christmas lights! Hey, do you notice mimi's festive reindeer pants? She is gonna kill me when she see's herself featured here on the blog wearing her jammies.

Holly is the "tall" one in the family. She is the one we look to to place the ornaments up high and when we need something off the top shelf at the grocery store. It's a good thing there is a tall one among us.
Speaking of, take a look at how close the top of the tree is to the ceiling.
True Story: I probably should not tell it but I have to spread a little Christmas cheer this year. This is one I still chuckle over when I think of it. You might find this little story a bit, well, unnerving. You've been warned!
Mimi was on a chair spreading branches on the tree as we were all so helpfully looking on. We noticed that the tree top was just inches from the ceiling and one of the girls commented that we would not be able to fit an angel up there. I suggested that we could chop her feet off so she'd fit. You know me, always trying to be helpful ;-P
Mimi gave me one of "those" looks and said that it was not an angel but a snowman that goes on the top of the tree. Abbie, a chip off the ol' block, piped up with "oh, well in that case we could chop one of his balls off". We had to rescue Mimi from faling off of her chair. Then we all laughed till we cried. Poor Abs, she still does not know why we were laughing!
